Rotterdam Central Station

Information transfer

The Public Transport Terminal Rotterdam Central Station originated from a multi-year construction project, in which the old railway station from 1954 was demolished to the ground and completely rebuilt. The forecourt is for the most part provided by the municipality with an explicit roof and linked to the new spectacular track. With a new extra-wide passenger passage, full of commercial facilities and completely new platforms, a complicated project has been realized with the "store" open. With several main contractors and a complex construction phase, the preparation of a good project-specific configuration and transfer of information was essential.

Review information

It is important for an asset manager/real estate manager to be able to quickly obtain the correct information from drawings, calculations and documents. That is why incertex checked for the Rotterdam Central  Station project whether drawings meet the arrangements made about content and structure. This ensures that drawings can be easily stored or exchanged between the involved parties.

Conversion data

In order for the transfer of information between contractor(s) and asset manager(s) to run smoothly, it is often necessary for data carriers (such as title blocks) to be converted accordingly to the regulations of the asset manager. This allows the receiving party to register the drawings after conversion in its own document management system.
